DISPOSABLE PRODUCTS — GOWNS
gown Procedure gowns (Staff Procedure gowns) Are designed primarily for short, simple operations, where limited protection is sufficient for minor operations, procedures and endoscopies. Gowns are made from SMS or SMMS fabric.
gown Standard – Basic surgical gowns Are intended for surgery with a low risk of bacterial transmission via wet contact with blood or body fluids. The gowns are made of heavier weight SMS or SSMMS fabric without additional reinforcement. They have an overlap “sterile back” and a neck closure of either Velcro or snaps.
gown Special – (Reinforced) surgical gowns Are designed for surgery where the risk of bacterial transmission via wet contact with blood or body fluids is high. The gowns are made of heavy weight SMS or SSMMS fabric. In addition to the fluid-repellent material, the gowns have either another layer of SMS fabric in the sleeves or in the sleeves and the front. Front reinforcement is limited or extended. Gowns have an overlap “sterile back” and a neck closure of Velcro or snaps.
gown Extra protection surgical gowns High risk and Urology: The high risk gowns are intended to be used in surgery with a very high risk of micro-organism transmission or surgery with abundant fluid in combination with long duration. Gowns are made of heavy weight SMS or SSMMS fabric. Gowns have a reinforced front and sleeves with impermeable material which protects the whole front part of the gown as well as the sleeves.
gown Patient gowns These gowns are used by patients during their stay in the hospital as inpatients. Gowns are made from lightweight SMS or SSMMS fabric. Gowns have either long or short sleeves. Gowns are closed by back ties. Gowns could be either short or long length gowns.
gown Patient gowns (Critical Care) These gown are used by patients in critical care wards, where patients need intensive nursing care. The gowns are closed on the front as well as on the arms by ties for easy access. The gowns are always short sleeved. Gowns are made from SMS or SSMMS fabric.
gown Isolation gowns (Staff and visitors) These gowns are used by staff and visitors to enter patient wards where barrier protection is needed for both staff and patients. They may be used in nursery, delivery rooms or even critical care wards. The gowns are made of light weight SMS or SSMMS fabric with back ties and long elastic sleeves.
